RX UK Appoints Jonathan Heastie as Portfolio Director for Travel Sector

RX UK, a leading event organizer, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Heastie as the new Portfolio Director for its Travel sector. In this newly created role, Heastie will be responsible for leading the strategic development and expansion of RX UK’s portfolio of travel brands, including World Travel Market (WTM) and Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

Heastie brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in the media industry for over three decades. He joined RX in 2008 and has since held various leadership positions, including overseeing events in Aerospace and leading the global alternative energy group within the Energy & Marine portfolio.

Throughout his career, Heastie has successfully orchestrated over 100 events across six countries, encompassing various scales and formats such as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, road shows, and award ceremonies, spanning eight different industries.

Commenting on his appointment, Heastie said: “I am thrilled to be joining the talented Travel team at RX UK. I am excited about the potential for growth and innovation within the travel industry, and I look forward to working closely with our partners and stakeholders to build businesses and brands and create value for our customers.”

Heastie will succeed Vasyl Zhygalo, who will now focus on his responsibilities as Managing Director for RX in the Middle East and Emerging Markets. Heastie will commence his new role in May 2024.
