Ryanair is taking flight to new heights in Morocco! The popular airline has just announced a new route connecting Girona, Spain, to Beni Mellal, Morocco. This exciting addition to their existing Moroccan routes, which already include flights to Marrakech and Beni Mellal from Girona, will further bolster connectivity between the two countries.

This new service underscores Ryanair’s commitment to expanding its presence in Morocco, a country experiencing a significant tourism boom. Morocco’s airports have seen a remarkable surge in passenger traffic during the first five months of 2024, with international traffic soaring by 19% to reach 11,135,210 passengers. Morocco has set ambitious tourism goals for 2024 and beyond. The country aims to attract 15 million tourists this year, exceeding the 14.5 million arrivals recorded in 2023. Looking ahead, Morocco aspires to welcome 17 million tourists by 2026. As of June 2024, Morocco has already made significant progress towards these goals, with 7.4 million tourist arrivals recorded during the first six months of the year, representing a 14% increase compared to the previous year. The new Ryanair route is sure to play a role in further boosting these numbers.
