This integration marks a significant step forward in Sabre’s commitment to providing travel agencies with access to a wider range of travel options. OUIGO Essentiel, offered by SNCF Voyageurs, the French national railway, is a cost-effective rail service that focuses on a simplified travel experience. This service is ideal for travelers seeking to save money on train travel across France, offering a single class of seating with various optional services. The integration of OUIGO Essentiel into Sabre’s Rail 2.0 platform positions Sabre as the first Global Distribution System (GDS) to provide access to this service. This move reinforces Sabre’s dedication to advancing train travel in France, reflecting a strong partnership with SNCF Voyageurs.

The integration of OUIGO Essentiel is a testament to the ongoing strategic distribution partnership between Sabre and SNCF Voyageurs, which spans over 25 years. Building on this successful collaboration, Sabre will soon introduce OUIGO Plus on its platform. This enhanced service will offer additional features, including increased luggage capacity, a choice of seating options, onboard Wi-Fi, and access to OUIFUN, OUIGO’s entertainment service.
