Sabre Corporation, a leading provider of software and technology solutions for the global travel industry, has announced a significant partnership with Furlong-Fox, Argentina’s premier corporate travel management company. This collaboration will introduce Sabre Direct Pay, a revolutionary virtual payment system designed to transform Furlong-Fox’s financial operations.
Sabre Direct Pay offers a comprehensive, automated platform that streamlines payment processes, enhancing efficiency and profitability for Furlong-Fox. The system automates reconciliation, generates automated reports, and integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, eliminating manual tasks related to expense management and financial reconciliation. This automated approach also reduces fraud risks and optimizes currency conversion processes.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Sabre to enhance our B2B payments with Sabre Direct Pay. Its robust single platform allows us to track our spending and automatically reconcile payments from multiple sources to generate automated reports when using virtual cards. All our data is now fully integrated into our existing workflow,” said Gonzalo Martinez Angello, Chief Operating Officer at Furlong-Fox. “This automation will allow us to improve efficiencies and streamline processes, with the added bonus of turning our payments into a new revenue stream through rebates.”
Sabre Direct Pay provides agencies with a flexible and integrated platform that supports their specific needs. It offers access to over 70 financial institutions across more than 90 countries, allowing for the issuance of virtual cards in over 50 currencies. This partnership represents a major milestone for Sabre as it pioneers such payment solutions in Argentina, collaborating with Banco Comafi.
“Furlong-Fox is a longtime partner, and we are excited to now provide them with the operational efficiency and security that Sabre Direct Pay offers. The automated reconciliation and data reporting will help streamline their B2B payment process, as well as optimize their travel payments,” said Patricio Boccardo, Head of Sabre Direct Pay. “With our technology and team of experts, we bring the agencies and the bank together, allowing them to turn their payments into a new source of revenue when using a virtual card to make a payment,” added Boccardo.
Designed for various travel agencies, including leisure sectors, online travel agents, and travel management companies, Sabre Direct Pay focuses on minimizing costs and maximizing payment efficiency. This innovative approach transforms what was once an operational expense into a potential profit stream.
Based in Buenos Aires, Furlong-Fox was established in 2002 from the merger of Furlong World Travel Service and Fox Tour, creating the largest corporate travel agency in Argentina. In 2019, the company expanded its global reach by joining the FCM travel network, becoming the representative for FCM in Argentina, managing multinational accounts.
