Sahil Khan, a recognized fitness expert and actor, has been arrested in connection with the Mahadev Betting App fraud case, which involves a staggering Rs 15,000 crore. Khan, who boasts over 2.8 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, where he shares fitness tips and expertise, was taken into custody by the Mumbai Police upon being brought from Chhattisgarh.
The court has remanded Khan to police custody until May 1st, as the investigation into the betting app’s alleged facilitation of illegal gambling on games like poker, badminton, tennis, football, and cricket continues. The police are also examining bank accounts, mobile phones, laptops, and technical equipment belonging to Khan and the other 31 individuals under investigation.
Khan, known for his roles in films such as ‘Style’ (2001) and ‘Xcuse Me’ (2003), has established himself as a prominent figure in the fitness industry. However, his involvement in the Mahadev Betting App case has raised concerns about the extent of illegal gambling activities.
