Samsung Ring Leak: Price and Subscription Rumors Emerge

The Samsung Galaxy Ring, which has been the subject of numerous leaks, may be priced between $300 and $350 in the U.S. and 35,000 rupees in India. While this places it in the same price range as the Oura Ring, it is significantly more expensive than rivals like the Evie Ring and RingConn Smart Ring. Adding to the potential cost, Samsung is reportedly considering a subscription plan akin to Oura’s $70-a-year service. This plan could unlock access to advanced health-tracking features within the Samsung Health app, which the Ring will connect with. Samsung is exploring a subscription model for both the Samsung Health app and possibly the Galaxy Ring. The company’s Digital Health Team vice president has indicated that such a plan is under consideration. Samsung may also incorporate AI features into its wearables to provide personalized health insights and coaching. Given the potential profitability of wearable subscriptions for health tracking, it would not be surprising if Samsung embraces this model. The company could potentially bundle the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 under the same subscription plan to make it more enticing for consumers.
