The Telugu thriller, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, starring Nani and Priyanka Mohan, has had a successful opening weekend at the box office. The film, directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by DVV Entertainment, collected a total of ₹23.59 crore in its first four days of release, marking a strong start for the movie.
The film saw a significant jump in its earnings on its third day, recording a net collection of ₹8.74 crore, a 49.40% increase from its previous day’s collection of ₹5.85 crore. The Telugu 2D version of the movie earned ₹8.25 crore, while the Tamil version clocked an earning of ₹4900 lakh, highlighting the film’s appeal beyond its original language. The movie also witnessed a high occupancy rate in theaters across India. On its third day, August 31, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram had an overall occupancy of 56.16%. Hyderabad saw the highest occupancy, with theaters filled at 82% for night shows, 71% in the evening, and 61% in the afternoon. Chennai followed with 61.75% occupancy across 95 shows, while Delhi-NCR recorded a 60% occupancy for 17 screenings. This strong theater attendance reflects the audience’s enthusiasm for the film and its ability to draw large crowds.
The movie, which released on August 30th, features a star-studded cast including Nani, Priyanka Mohan, SJ Suryah, Abhirami, Aditi Balan, P Sai Kumar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Murali Sharma, and Ajay Ghosh.
