Mohammed Elshehri, a rising star in Saudi cinema, has been announced as the Master of Ceremonies for the upcoming Saudi Film Festival. Elshehri, who rose to prominence through his YouTube show ‘Trailer,’ gained recognition for his acting skills in the popular MBC TV series ‘Road Trip.’
As the Master of Ceremonies, Elshehri will oversee the festival’s proceedings, bringing his infectious energy and engaging personality to the event. The Saudi Film Festival, now in its 10th year, will be held in the Eastern Province city of Dhahran from May 2-9.
Elshehri’s journey to stardom began with his YouTube show, where he combined humor and film recommendations. His talent caught the attention of Netflix, who collaborated with him to promote their shows in the region. However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 halted his progress.

Elshehri went on to star in ‘Valley Road’ and the Ramadan comedy ‘Road Trip.’ The success of ‘Road Trip,’ which resonated deeply with Saudi audiences, solidified his status as a rising star.
As Elshehri prepares for his role as Master of Ceremonies at the Saudi Film Festival, he emphasizes the significance of the event for the burgeoning Saudi film industry. He highlights the festival as a meeting ground for filmmakers and a platform for showcasing their talent. The festival stands as a testament to the growth and potential of the Saudi film industry, and Elshehri’s appointment as Master of Ceremonies is a testament to his contribution to its success.
