Saudia and Kenya Airways Partner to Enhance Connectivity and Passenger Benefits

Saudia and Kenya Airways have formalized a partnership during the Arabian Travel Market held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This collaboration aims to enhance the connectivity of both airlines and offer greater benefits to their passengers. The agreement, signed by Saudia’s Chief Commercial Officer, Arved Von Zur Muehlen, and Kenya Airways’ Regional General Manager for India & the Middle East, Albert Abwoga, outlines several advantages for passengers.

The partnership enables seamless booking and ticket issuance, allowing passengers to conveniently book connecting flights on a single ticket. This eliminates the hassle of separate bookings and ensures smooth transitions between flights. Additionally, passengers will benefit from a mutual rewards program that enhances their travel experience.

Furthermore, Saudia, in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will facilitate transit visas through its digital channels. This will allow guests a stopover of up to 96 hours, providing opportunities for tourism, religious pilgrimages, or visiting holy sites.

The partnership not only enhances connectivity but also opens up new travel opportunities within Saudi Arabia. Passengers can now explore the country’s diverse climate, rich cultural heritage, and embark on religious pilgrimages to perform Umrah and Hajj. The agreement also extends the airlines’ reach to new destinations such as Accra, Bamako, Bujumbura, Lusaka, and Mombasa.

This partnership aligns with Saudia’s strategy to connect the world to the Kingdom through codeshare agreements. The airline is committed to implementing innovative initiatives to improve travel experiences on the ground and in the air. This aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy’s goal to boost air connectivity to over 250 destinations by 2030, and the Saudi Ministry of Tourism’s target of achieving 150 million visits by the same year.
