Saudia Group Boosts Domestic Tourism with Increased Flights to Abha

Saudia Group, encompassing Saudia and flyadeal airlines, has announced a significant expansion of its flight operations to Abha, a popular destination in southwestern Saudi Arabia. This strategic move will see a substantial increase in daily flights from key cities like Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, effectively bolstering domestic tourism efforts.

The expansion is directly aligned with the Saudi Tourism Authority’s initiatives to promote Abha as a premier destination during the ‘Aseer Season’ and ‘Saudi Summer’ campaigns. This move underscores the Group’s commitment to strengthening domestic tourism, a key pillar of Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudia has significantly increased its daily flights to Abha from 14 to 19, representing a remarkable 35.71% growth. Flyadeal has also expanded its daily operations from 14 to 17 flights, reflecting a 21.42% increase. These enhancements are supported by a modern and efficient fleet of 176 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable and reliable travel experience for passengers.

By increasing flight frequencies and seat capacity, Saudia Group aims to meet the rising demand for travel to Abha, further enriching the domestic tourism experience.
