Saudia Holidays and MTPA Join Forces to Promote Mauritius as a Top Destination for Saudi Travelers

The strategic partnership between Saudia Holidays and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. This collaboration aims to elevate Mauritius’s status as a premium travel destination for Saudi Arabian residents.

The MoU was executed by Arved Von Zur Muehlen, Chief Commercial Officer of Saudia, and Arvind Bundhun, Director of the MTPA, at the event held at the Dubai World Trade Center. The agreement outlines a cooperative strategy that capitalizes on the marketing and promotional capabilities of both parties.

Arved Von Zur Muehlen expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that Mauritius is a gem in the Indian Ocean and that the collaboration aims to introduce its stunning beauty, unparalleled local hospitality, rich culture, and diverse attractions to guests across Saudi Arabia. Arvind Bundhun, Director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, highlighted the importance of the MoU in expanding Mauritius’ reach in the Saudi Arabian market and expressed confidence that the collaboration with Saudia Holidays would effectively showcase the unique experiences and hospitality that Mauritius has to offer.

The Memorandum of Understanding outlines key areas of collaboration, including the development of dedicated landing pages for Mauritius featuring curated travel packages, the implementation of training programs for staff, the launch of joint digital marketing efforts, and the initiation of activities to attract potential travelers from Saudi Arabia. Through these initiatives, the partnership aims to enhance the visibility and appeal of Mauritius as a top travel destination for Saudi Arabian travelers, further strengthening the tourism ties between the two countries.
