Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national airline, has continued its impressive performance by topping the international rankings for punctuality in July 2024. This achievement, as reported by the independent aviation data provider Cirium, underscores Saudia’s dedication to delivering a reliable and efficient travel experience.
The airline achieved a remarkable on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and an equally impressive 88.15% departure rate, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry. These impressive statistics were achieved across a vast network spanning four continents and over 100 destinations, showcasing Saudia’s extensive reach and commitment to connecting the world.
Looking ahead, Saudia has ambitious plans for further growth and expansion. The airline intends to enhance its fleet by adding 103 new aircraft, a significant investment that will contribute to its ambitious goal of increasing seating capacity and reaching new destinations globally. This strategic expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s global connectivity and economic development.
Since 2012, Saudia has been a valued member of the SkyTeam alliance, a significant achievement that marked the first time a Persian Gulf carrier joined a major global airline alliance. Furthermore, the airline plays a crucial role in the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization. Beyond scheduled flights, Saudia also provides charter services, particularly during peak seasons like Ramadan and Hajj, connecting passengers across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
