Saving Nature Welcomes Nobel Peace Prize Winner to Science Board

Root to its esteemed Science Board. Dr. Root, a renowned scientist and expert on climate change, brings a wealth of experience and insights to the organization’s mission.
Dr. Root, Senior Fellow Emerita at Stanford University’s Woods Institute for the Environment, has made significant contributions to the field of climate change research. As a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 4th Assessment Report, she played a key role in the IPCC’s 2007 Nobel Peace Prize award alongside Vice President Al Gore. Her work has been instrumental in understanding the impacts of climate change on wildlife and ecosystems.
