Scoot is gearing up for a busy Winter 2024 travel season with an expanded flight network and increased frequency on popular routes. The budget airline, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is responding to the anticipated surge in travel demand with new routes, more flights, and enhanced services.
Starting in November 2024, Scoot will boost its flight frequency to Chiang Mai and Hanoi, increasing from 10 to 11 weekly flights to Chiang Mai and from five to six weekly flights to Hanoi. In December, the airline will further enhance its services to Perth, increasing from 13 to 14 weekly flights. Flights to Melbourne will also see an increase, going from 12 to 13 weekly flights, and by January 2025, the route will operate twice daily.
Scoot is also adding new destinations to its network, including Kertajati (Greater Bandung) in Indonesia, which will launch on September 28, 2024, and Malacca, Malaysia, which will launch on October 23, 2024. The airline recently introduced daily flights to Subang, Malaysia, on September 1, 2024.
Beyond these additions, Scoot is bolstering its services to key destinations. The airline will add three more flights per week to Seoul (Incheon) via Taipei, bringing the service to a daily frequency. Similarly, flights to Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei will expand from 12 to 14 weekly services.
Within Southeast Asia, Scoot will increase its flights to several destinations served by the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. This includes Davao, which will go from seven to nine weekly flights, and Balikpapan and Makassar, both of which will increase from three to four weekly flights.
In a move to streamline its network, Scoot will discontinue its services to Ningbo, with the final flight scheduled for October 26, 2024.
Scoot’s expanded network and increased frequency on popular routes are sure to attract travelers seeking affordable and convenient options for their winter travel plans.
