Renowned Japanese artists Haruyuki Uchida, Keizo Ushio, and Toshio Iezumi are also featured, representing a prominent contingent of 12 Japanese sculptors.
The exhibition will also feature 35 debuting artists, hailing from diverse locations including Switzerland and China. This commitment to showcasing new talent is a cornerstone of Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi’s legacy. Continuing the tradition of supporting Ukrainian artistry, Yevgen Prymachenkon will also display his work.
Over the past two decades, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi has become a renowned platform for both Australian and international sculptors. The exhibition has featured over 2,650 works from artists across 51 nations, solidifying its position as a significant event in the world of contemporary sculpture. While a minor section of the coastal walk will be closed due to recent landslides, the majority of the exhibition will proceed as planned. A one-way system will be implemented on weekends at the Bondi section of the path to ensure visitor safety.
