This announcement follows a year of significant growth in international service at SEA. With strong historical ties to Scandinavia, SEA now offers nonstop flights to three Nordic capitals: Reykjavik, Helsinki, and now Copenhagen. Copenhagen’s reputation as the world’s most bike-friendly city is a major draw for visitors, allowing them to easily explore its many hidden treasures on two wheels, enhancing their travel experience.
SAS, a familiar presence at SEA since the 1960s, is re-establishing its presence with a renewed commitment to the Seattle market. As a new member of the SkyTeam Airline Alliance, SAS will provide travelers with even greater connectivity through its partnership with Delta Air Lines and other airlines.
The new Copenhagen route will initially operate with Airbus A350 aircraft for the first five weeks of service, with flights scheduled on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. After that, the route will transition to Airbus A330 aircraft.
SEA is committed to expanding its global reach. Currently, the airport offers 53 international services to 33 destinations across 27 airlines. In addition to the new Copenhagen route, SEA is set to launch new flights to Manila on Philippine Airlines in October and Liberia, Costa Rica on Alaska Airlines in December. Recent additions include flights from STARLUX Airlines, China Airlines, and Delta Air Lines to Taipei; Lufthansa to Munich, Germany; Hainan Airlines to Chongqing, China; and Alaska Airlines to Toronto, Canada.
