Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal Las Vegas Shooting of 16-Year-Old

On Tuesday, April 26th, 18-year-old DeAjai Guaydacan was apprehended in Spanish Fork, Utah, and booked into the local county jail on suspicion of open murder. This arrest marks the second suspect charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ah’Sioni Henderson, which tragically occurred in Las Vegas on April 9th. Guaydacan’s arrest took place approximately 370 miles from Las Vegas, in a city located south of Provo.

Last week, a 17-year-old male suspect was taken into custody. However, due to his juvenile status, his name has not been publicly released.

The fatal incident unfolded at approximately 9:20 p.m. on April 9th, in the 2100 block of Club Pacific Way, near Buffalo Drive and West Lake Mead Boulevard. According to investigations conducted by Metro detectives, Henderson was involved in an altercation with multiple individuals shortly before the shooting. Tragically, all suspects fled the scene before the arrival of officers.

Medical personnel transported Henderson to University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
