In Senapati, Manipur, preparations are in full swing for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mamoni Doley, comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and secure polling process.
The district boasts 228 polling stations spread across three assembly segments. To ensure efficient conduct of the elections, all polling personnel have been thoroughly trained. Notably, 81 polling stations will be managed exclusively by women, showcasing the district’s commitment to empower and encourage female engagement in electoral processes.
In terms of law and order, the district administration has conducted a comprehensive assessment in collaboration with the police. A detailed security deployment plan has been devised, involving the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) alongside state armed forces. This collaborative effort aims to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents during the election.
Mamoni Doley has urged the people of Senapati to actively participate in the electoral process. She expressed confidence that no law and order issues would disrupt the smooth functioning of the elections. Her call for a large-scale voter turnout reflects the district’s desire for peaceful and democratic participation in the decision-making process.
