The $95 billion package passed by the Senate on Tuesday provides military aid to Ukraine and Israel, replenishes U.S. weapons systems, and gives humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza.
The broad spending breakdown includes $61 billion for Ukraine and replenishing U.S. weapons stockpiles. Ukraine would receive $13.8 billion for weapons purchases and over $9 billion in economic assistance as “forgivable loans.”
The package allocates $26 billion to support Israel and provide humanitarian relief in Gaza. About $4 billion is dedicated to replenishing Israel’s missile defense systems, and over $9 billion is designated for humanitarian assistance in Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The package also provides $8 billion to assist U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific region and counter China. More than $3.3 billion is earmarked for submarine infrastructure and development, with an additional $1.9 billion to replenish U.S. weapons provided to Taiwan and other regional allies.
