Although Germany managed to narrow the gap in the second quarter, outscoring Serbia 17-16, they were unable to overcome Serbia’s offensive firepower in the second half. Serbia continued to maintain a comfortable lead in the third and fourth quarters, with Jokic and teammate Vasilije Micic each contributing 19 points to the final score. The United States, meanwhile, will be vying for their fifth consecutive Olympic title against France in the gold medal match later on Saturday at Bercy Arena in Paris.
