Serial Killer Escapes Kenyan Police Custody After Killing 42 Women

Collins Khalusha, a confessed serial killer who admitted to murdering 42 women over the past two years, has escaped from the Gigiri police station in Kenya. Khalusha, who was arrested in July after dismembered bodies were discovered in a quarry, was being held awaiting trial. The gruesome discovery of the bodies, which were found in at least 10 sacks, was made during anti-government demonstrations that took place in June.

Khalusha’s escape was part of a larger jailbreak involving 13 detainees, including 12 Eritrean nationals who were being held for illegal immigration. The escape occurred early Tuesday morning when police officers discovered that some of the detainees had managed to cut through a security wire mesh and climb a perimeter wall at a “basking bay,” a designated area where detainees are allowed to get fresh air.

In response to the escape, Kenyan authorities have arrested eight police officers, including the station head, for their alleged involvement in facilitating the escape. The acting inspector general of police, Gilbert Masengeli, stated that preliminary investigations indicate that the escape was aided by insiders. Masengeli assured the public that anyone found culpable in the escape will face legal consequences.

The Kenyan police have launched a full-scale manhunt for the 13 missing detainees, including Khalusha, who is considered a dangerous and highly dangerous individual. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and to contact law enforcement immediately if they have any information that could assist in locating the escapees.
