Seton Hall Loses Standout Dylan Addae-Wusu to Transfer Portal

Seton Hall University is grappling with the departure of several key players as Dylan Addae-Wusu becomes the latest Pirate to enter the transfer portal.

Addae-Wusu, a standout performer who averaged 8.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists during the Pirates’ NIT championship run, has decided to leave the program after three seasons. His departure follows those of Dre Davis (Ole Miss), Elijah Hutchins-Everett, and Jaquan Sanders, who have already utilized the transfer portal.

Kadary Richmond, another talented player, is currently weighing his options and awaiting feedback from the NBA Advisory Committee before making a decision on his future. Coach Shaheen Holloway recognizes the challenges posed by the transfer portal and emphasizes the need for adaptability and strategic planning.

To address the roster turnover, Seton Hall has added Boston College transfer wing Prince Aligbe and hosted Cornell transfer Chris Manon. DePaul transfer Elijah Fisher is also expected to visit the university soon.

Holloway acknowledges the ongoing challenges of the transfer portal, which has become a free agency market without salary caps. He stresses the importance of acquiring players who fit the team’s goals and values.
