Seven More Weapons Recovered from Arrested Ransom Call Accused in Ludhiana

Following the arrest of Amritpal Singh and Tajinderpal Singh for making ransom calls to three Ludhiana residents, police have seized seven additional weapons. These include an SSP Ludhiana rural stamp, DSP uniform pictures, two handcuffs, a Toyata Fortuner, five mobile phones, and a .32 bore pistol with seven live cartridges.

During questioning, the accused revealed they had acquired eight sophisticated weapons from Madhya Pradesh and recently purchased 1.5 acres of land near Doraha. The investigation is ongoing to determine how they obtained these assets and how they planned to use them.

Police also found that the accused conducted surveillance on their targets, taking pictures of their family members. The main targets were a businessman and a doctor, neither of whom paid any money to the extortionists.

Authorities arrested Tajinderpal, who had a criminal record, and Amritpal, who assisted in target surveillance. Ramandeep Singh, a relative living in Manila, and Puneet, a Jalandhar resident living in Vancouver, Canada, have also been nominated in the case.

Police believe the accused were planning a more significant crime, as evidenced by the recovered documents. They acted swiftly to avert a potential incident by apprehending the individuals.
