Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah sharply criticized the Congress and the ruling Left in Kerala on Wednesday. He accused them of shielding terrorism within the state and relying on the support of the outlawed Popular Front of India (PFI) to secure victories in the Lok Sabha elections.
Shah alleged that terrorism had been allowed to flourish in Kerala under the successive reigns of the CPI(M)-led LDF and the Congress-led UDF. He further claimed that both the Left and the Congress had courted the PFI to gain favor with minority vote banks in the state.
