The Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) has achieved significant success in the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject. Three of its disciplines have earned a place among the global top 50, showcasing the college’s dedication to academic excellence and cutting-edge research.
Statistics & Operational Research made a remarkable debut in the top 40, ranking 36th globally and 3rd in mainland China. This achievement marks the first time the discipline has placed within the top 40 since 2015. Business & Management Studies maintained its position in the top 50 for the ninth consecutive year, ranking 42nd globally and 3rd in mainland China. Accounting & Finance also retained its position within the top 50 for the seventh year in a row, ranking 47th globally and 3rd in mainland China.
Economics & Econometrics also performed exceptionally, ranking 57th globally and 4th in mainland China. Overall, Shanghai Jiao Tong University had 11 disciplines ranked in the global top 50, with ACEM contributing three of them. This impressive performance underscores the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and advancing research frontiers.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject assess universities based on five key indicators: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Research Citations per Paper, H-index, and International Research Network. These indicators reflect the institution’s academic standing, industry recognition, research output, citation impact, and global collaborations. ACEM’s strong showing in these areas demonstrates its commitment to holistic development, fostering a dynamic academic environment that attracts top talent and promotes groundbreaking research.
