Shankh Air Takes Flight: New Airline to Connect Key Metros from Noida and Lucknow

India’s aviation market continues to soar, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. The country has experienced a surge in passenger traffic, new airport launches, and a significant increase in aircraft orders, all contributing to the expansion of regional airlines. Following the successful emergence of Air Kerala and AL Hind Airways, a new entrant, Shankh Air, is ready to make its mark on the Indian aviation scene, further bolstering regional connectivity.

Shankh Air has already secured its No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards becoming operational. The airline will now seek its airline license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Aashna Air and Tourism, a renowned global aviation consulting firm, played a pivotal role in guiding Shankh Air through the NOC process, paving the way for its official launch.

Shankh Air will be the first scheduled airline to operate from Uttar Pradesh. Strategically choosing Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar as its base, the airline plans to connect major metro cities across India from its hubs in Lucknow and Noida. Its initial fleet will consist of three Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, perfectly timed to coincide with the opening of Noida International Airport for commercial operations. Recruitment efforts have already commenced through Shankh Air’s official website, signifying the next phase of its preparation.

Positioning itself as a full-service carrier, Shankh Air will offer a two-class service model catering to both intra-state and inter-state flights. The airline aims to meet the growing demand for reliable and efficient air travel across India by providing a premium experience that blends comfort and affordability. This strategic approach makes Shankh Air an appealing choice for both business and leisure travelers.

To differentiate itself in India’s competitive aviation market, Shankh Air will focus on routes with high demand but limited direct flight options. The airline’s operational goals include competitive pricing, a twin-class service, and a commitment to using the latest technology to enhance the customer experience. Shankh Air prioritizes on-time performance and high dispatch reliability, particularly for tier II and tier III cities, ensuring a seamless travel experience for passengers across the country.
