In a major breakthrough in the investigation of Nadir Shah’s murder, Delhi Police’s Special Cell has apprehended a suspected sharpshooter linked to the crime. The suspect, identified as Madhur alias Ayaan, is believed to be affiliated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba gangs.
Ayaan was arrested on October 12th in the Narela area following an encounter with police. Acting on a tip-off about his movements on the Narela-Bawana road, officers set a trap. Around 9 PM, Ayaan, riding a motorcycle, was stopped near a housing complex. Upon noticing the police, he reportedly opened fire, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Ayaan sustained bullet wounds in both legs and was later admitted to the hospital.
During the shootout, Sub-Inspector Adesh Kumar, who was wearing a bulletproof jacket, was also injured by a bullet fired by Ayaan. Police recovered a .32 semi-automatic pistol, eight live cartridges, and the Honda Hornet motorcycle Ayaan was riding.
This arrest follows a month-long investigation into Shah’s murder, who was fatally shot by two assailants on a motorcycle in Greater Kailash. Investigations revealed that the murder was orchestrated by Sameer Baba, a close associate of Hashim Baba, and carried out on his orders. It was also discovered that Shah had connections to Rohit Chaudhary, a gangster known to be a rival of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Authorities are now actively searching for the second suspect, Raju, who allegedly assisted Ayaan in the shooting. Ayaan’s arrest marks a significant step in the investigation and raises hopes for justice in this grave crime.
