Shippensburg’s softball team put on a dominant display Tuesday, securing an impressive 8-2 victory over West Perry. The star of the day was Riley Mullen, who excelled both as a pitcher and a batter.
On the mound, Mullen was a force to be reckoned with. She pitched seven complete innings, striking out five batters and surrendering just one earned run. Her impressive performance earned her the win for Shippensburg.
Mullen’s contributions extended beyond the pitching circle. At the plate, she went 2-for-4, showcasing her offensive skills. Her performance was highlighted by a towering home run, which drove in two runs.
