Kapoor now boasts an impressive 91.4 million followers on Instagram, while PM Modi sits at 91.3 million followers.
Despite this change, PM Modi continues to hold the title of the most popular global leader on X (formerly Twitter), with a substantial following that dwarfs those of world leaders like US President Joe Biden, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed, and Pope Francis. As of August 21, the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) has amassed a staggering 56.6 million followers on X.
At the top of the list of India’s most followed Instagram personalities remains star cricketer Virat Kohli, boasting a staggering 271 million followers. Following him is Priyanka Chopra, with 91.81 million followers.
‘Stree 2’, the sequel to the 2018 horror comedy ‘Stree’, starring Rajkummar Rao alongside Kapoor, has been a massive success, inching closer to the ₹300 crore global collection mark. The film is a testament to the enduring appeal of the horror comedy genre and the talent of its lead actors. The movie is also part of producer Dinesh Vijan’s ambitious horror comedy universe, which includes other successful titles like ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’.
