The introductory three-day SIGEP Asia and the 5th edition of Restaurant Asia 2024 came to an end effectively on June 28th at the Sands Expo and Convention Center of the well-known Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Co-located with IEG Asia’s lately attained sequences of food and beverage (F&B) trade shows Specialty Food and Drinks Asia (SFDA), Specialty Coffee and Tea Asia (SCTA), and takeout and distribution show Food2Go, the mega platform was the center of an important three-day assembly of the F&B sector which greeted over 11,000 visitors, meeting representatives along with seminar participants from Singapore, ASEAN and from all over the world. The shows were formally inaugurated by the Guest of Honor Ms. Low Yen Ling, who is the Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
During the formal inauguration, the F&B industry jobs portal was revealed to take care of the continuing threats in the sector. As manpower endures to be a recurrent problem for the F&B segment, principally in drawing locals to join the sector, the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) retorted to this unrelenting challenge by introducing FABjobs, which is exclusively devoted toward the F&B segment. The first-ever SIGEP Asia, which is a satellite trade display of the well-known SIGEP WORLD in Rimini, together with the deep-rooted Restaurant Asia, offered a strong podium for the F&B community to unite, invent and cooperate. The event witnessed involvement from more than 300 exhibitors and brands from 30 nations and areas, displaying the newest tendencies, know-hows and products in the foodservice sector.
