Simone Ashley, who shot to fame as Bridgerton season two’s leading lady, Kate Sharma, recently spoke to Vogue about all things beauty. When asked about her Bridgerton style, Ashley said she loves dressing up for the show and that the hair and makeup are especially beautiful. She also shared a beauty tip she learned on set: stay hydrated! “You work long days with all the wigs, costumes, and makeup, so staying hydrated is key,” she said.
Ashley also discussed her ultimate summer beauty look, which is to wear little or no makeup and use the sun as a form of makeup. However, she stressed the importance of protecting your skin from the sun and recommended using L’Oréal’s Bright Reveal SPF 50.
When asked about how she keeps her hair so glossy, Ashley said she tries to use minimal heat and eat a healthy diet with lots of protein. She also loves L’Oréal’s Elvive hair care products, which she sometimes uses in the sauna to give her hair a boost of shine and hydration.
As for what’s in her beach bag, Ashley said she always brings a book, sunglasses, a layer of clothing, water, and a little bit of cash. She also loves ice cream and would have it every day if she could.
Ashley also shared her favorite way to work out, which is reformer Pilates and running. She said Pilates has changed the game for her in terms of how hard she can push her body and that it’s a great workout for women because it connects you to your pelvic floor and gives you a full awareness of your body.
When asked about her plane beauty routine, Ashley said she drinks lots of water and sometimes does a sheet mask or uses a face spray and moisturizer. She also uses under-eye patches to help her feel more awake.
Ashley also discussed her role as the new UK spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris, which she said is very exciting. She said she has always had a passion for fashion, makeup, and skincare, so to be the face of a brand like L’Oréal is a dream come true.
Finally, Ashley spoke about attending L’Oréal’s Lights on Women’s Worth in Cannes, which highlights gender imbalance in the film industry. She said this is an important issue because it directly affects women and that she is proud to be part of a generation that is working to find positive solutions.
