Singapore Airlines is gearing up for a major expansion of its flight operations, particularly in Europe, driven by surging passenger demand. The airline will be significantly increasing flight frequencies to several key destinations, aiming to enhance connectivity and cater to the growing appetite for travel.
Starting March 30, 2025, Singapore Airlines will bolster its services to London by increasing its frequency to daily flights between Singapore and London Gatwick. This move builds upon the existing five-times-weekly service launched in June, complementing the airline’s existing robust schedule of four daily flights to London Heathrow. These enhancements will result in a total of five daily flights to London during the 2025 summer season, providing passengers with a significantly expanded range of flight options to the UK capital.
Beyond London, Singapore Airlines is also looking to bolster its presence in Rome. From June 26 to August 28, 2025, flights to Rome will increase to five times a week, up from the current four weekly flights. This increase is designed to cater to the peak tourist season and capitalize on the heightened travel interest during this period.
Further refining its European operations, Singapore Airlines will be separating its combined Singapore-Milan-Barcelona route, offering more direct flight options to these cities. Between June 24 and September 7, 2025, the airline will introduce a new service operating five times a week directly from Singapore to Barcelona, replacing the previous two weekly flights. Additionally, a daily direct flight will be established to Milan, improving upon the current four-times-weekly schedule.
These strategic adjustments in flight schedules extend beyond Europe. Singapore Airlines plans to increase flight frequencies to key destinations in Australia, South Africa, Vietnam, and Cambodia, enhancing global connectivity and catering to the growing demand for travel to these regions.
These expansions, however, come with a trade-off. The airline will suspend its service from Singapore to Houston via Manchester starting April 1, 2025. However, the existing five-times-weekly flights directly between Singapore and Manchester will continue to operate, maintaining important links between the two cities.
These comprehensive changes reflect Singapore Airlines’ commitment to adapting its services to meet evolving travel demands and market conditions. By expanding its flight network and increasing frequency to popular destinations, the airline is demonstrating its dedication to providing passengers with more options and enhanced connectivity, solidifying its position as a leading global airline.
