The Singapore Tourism Board has announced that the iconic main Merlion statue at Merlion Park will undergo essential cleaning and maintenance from July 29 to August 2, 2024. This routine maintenance aims to preserve the integrity and appearance of one of Singapore’s most recognizable landmarks.
During this period, the statue will be enclosed in scaffolding, making it temporarily unavailable for photo opportunities. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy capturing moments with the nearby Merlion cub statue, which remains accessible for photos throughout the maintenance period.
