Six Arrested in Niagara Falls Cannabis Grow-Op Raid

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Niagara Regional Police, recently conducted a raid on an illicit cannabis grow-operation in the south end of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The raid, carried out in an abandoned warehouse on Don Murie Street, resulted in the seizure of an estimated 15,000 cannabis plants. The estimated street value of the seized plants is approximately $8 million.

The investigation was initiated based on public complaints about a strong cannabis odor emanating from the facility. Investigators believe the grow-op was a sophisticated operation.

Six individuals have been arrested and charged with cultivating cannabis without authorization. They are expected to appear in a St. Catharines court on May 30. Authorities continue to investigate, and further charges may be pending. This raid highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to crack down on illegal drug production and distribution.
