SJM Resorts, S.A., a key player in promoting Macau as a leading international travel destination, recently held a successful product seminar at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok. This seminar, part of their “The Legend of Macau” SJM Product Seminar Series, follows previous successful events in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Taiwan.
Over 100 attendees, including representatives from travel associations, agencies, business partners, and the Macao Government Tourism Office’s (MGTO) Thai office, gathered to learn about the diverse offerings Macau has to offer. Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM, emphasized the importance of Thailand as a potential visitor market for Macau and highlighted the seminar’s role in strengthening connections with the Thai travel trade.
The seminar showcased a range of exclusive packages specifically tailored for Thai travelers. These included the “Joyous Family Package” and the “Palazzo Versace Macau Experience Package,” available for booking at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU, and Palazzo Versace Macau until December 29. Early reservations made before September 13 are eligible for a complimentary room upgrade with a stunning garden view.
Corporate planners were also presented with MICE facilities at SJM resorts, offering special benefits for bookings made before November 30. Couples planning weddings before March 31, 2025, can enjoy special privileges like Rolls Royce limousine service or a honeymoon trip valued up to MOP63,388.
SJM’s flagship property, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, took center stage at the seminar. Located in the vibrant Cotai area, the resort comprises three internationally renowned designer-branded hotels: Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU, and Asia’s first Palazzo Versace Macau. The resort provides a luxurious experience with a blend of Eastern and Western design, world-class dining, award-winning spa services, and high-end shopping experiences.
The seminar also highlighted other SJM properties like Grand Lisboa Macau, a distinguished Five-Star hotel on the Macau Peninsula, featuring Robuchon au Dôme, Macau’s only restaurant to receive three MICHELIN Stars for 16 consecutive years. The Jai Alai Oceanus, located near the Outer Harbour Ferry terminal, offers a diverse array of leisure and entertainment options.
SJM also introduced attendees to the tourism assets under its parent company, Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, S.A. (“STDM”), which include Macau’s first five-star Hotel Lisboa, the upscale Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, the beachfront Grand Coloane Resort, and Hotel Sintra, located near Macau’s UNESCO World Heritage sites.
SJM’s commitment to culinary excellence continues to expand with new dining options including collaborations with global fashion brands, a British-inspired cafe, and an Italian family-style diner. In October, SJM will partner with Whisky Magazine to host the inaugural Whisky Live event at Grand Lisboa Palace, offering an exquisite selection of whiskies and gourmet delights.
SJM’s commitment to sports and culture is evident through its co-organization and title sponsorship of the “SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships” in September. From October to November, SJM will support several major events, including the “SJM Macao Open 2024,” the “2024 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macao) and National Tennis Championships,” and the “71st Macau Grand Prix.”
Under its “Art + Tourism” initiative, SJM will offer visitors a range of cultural experiences, including the new “GLP Arte” artistic hub, the annual Lantern Art Exhibition “Dragons of the Four Seas Tribute to Macau,” and the “Fireworks Cruise Getaway” package during the 32nd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest.
Looking ahead, SJM will continue its collaboration with the Macao SAR Government to attract Thai tourists, showcasing Macau’s diverse “Tourism+” offerings and solidifying its position as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
