Snapchat is tapping into generative AI to elevate its Bitmoji experience. Users can now design their own digital garments for their Bitmoji avatars by providing text prompts. The app generates patterns based on the prompts, allowing users to further customize and save their creations.
Map Reactions and Emoji Reactions Add Interactivity
Users who share their location with friends can now express themselves through map reactions. With a quick tap, they can send a wave to acknowledge passing by or a heart to indicate their friend’s safe arrival at a destination.
Emoji reactions make their debut in Snapchat chats, providing users with an alternative to Bitmoji reactions. This feature aligns with the popularity of emoji reactions on other platforms like Instagram and Messenger.
These new features come amidst Snapchat’s growing user base, with over 422 million daily active users in Q1 2024. The number of Snapchat+ subscribers has also more than tripled year-over-year, exceeding 9 million. Snapchat’s continuous innovation aims to provide a more engaging and personalized experience for its users.
