Construction of the splash pad at Southwick’s Whalley Park is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks. However, the operational costs of the facility are yet to be determined.
According to Randy Brown, the town’s Public Works Director, it is unclear how much water the splash pad will consume. Waterplay Solutions Corp. by MAKR, the Canadian company that supplied the equipment, estimates that the pad will require 63 gallons of water per minute when fully operational.
