In a bid to enhance passenger comfort and cater to the increased demand during the peak holiday season, SpiceJet has upgraded its daily Delhi-Bangkok flight to a wide-body Airbus A340 aircraft. The upgraded service, effective from May 31 to June 20, 2024, will accommodate up to 324 passengers per flight, significantly increasing the seating capacity compared to the previously operated narrow-body Boeing 737.
The move aligns with SpiceJet’s commitment to providing passengers with a superior travel experience. The Airbus A340 offers a more spacious cabin, enhanced amenities, and improved flight performance. Additionally, the airline’s decision to upgrade this route reflects the growing popularity of Bangkok as a destination for both business and leisure travelers.
SpiceJet’s expansion in Thailand continues with the recent announcement of daily non-stop flights connecting Delhi and Phuket starting May 31, 2024. This new service complements the airline’s existing daily flights to Bangkok from Kolkata, providing travelers with more convenient travel options.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, expressed the airline’s excitement about the upgrade and expansion in Thailand. He stated that the move underscores SpiceJet’s commitment to enhancing passenger comfort and convenience. The airline’s focus on expanding its footprint in Thailand aligns with the increasing demand for air travel between India and Thailand.
