SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, and Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, have embarked on a codeshare partnership that promises to enhance travel experiences for their passengers. This collaboration marks a significant step towards connecting people and places across continents, empowering SriLankan Airlines to expand its reach in Africa and offering Air Seychelles’ passengers convenient access to Colombo.
The codeshare agreement enables SriLankan Airlines to place its code on Air Seychelles’ flights, allowing passengers to travel between Colombo and Mahé twice a week. In turn, Air Seychelles can place its code on SriLankan Airlines’ flights, providing access to over 20 destinations for its passengers. These destinations include highly sought-after locations in Australia, such as Sydney and Melbourne, as well as popular stops in India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
This partnership offers numerous benefits to passengers. They can conveniently book their entire journey using a single ticket, ensuring a seamless travel experience. Additionally, they can enjoy the convenience of having their luggage checked in all the way to their final destination, eliminating the hassle of baggage claim and re-check-in during transit.
The codeshare agreement also allows passengers to book their travels through various channels, including both airlines’ websites, online travel agencies, and local travel agents. This flexibility provides travelers with the convenience of choosing their preferred booking method.

The flights under the codeshare agreement are available for booking now and will commence operations in May 2024. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between SriLankan Airlines and Air Seychelles, offering enhanced travel options and convenience for their passengers.
