SSB Odisha Announces Junior Assistant Exam Date for 108 Vacancies
The State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha has announced the written examination date for the recruitment of Junior Assistants. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 108 vacancies across Odisha University of Health Sciences, Council of Higher Secondary Education, and Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. . It will be held across various zones including Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur.Eligibility Criteria for SSB Junior Assistant
To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Minimum and maximum age limits: 21 years and 38 years as of January 1, 2024
* Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen, and 10 years for PwD candidates with 40% disability or more
* Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
* Basic computer skills
* Indian citizenship
* Proficiency in Odia, having studied it as a subject or passed an equivalent test
Candidates with academic qualifications from outside Odisha must provide proof of equivalence and affiliation. Certificates and mark-sheets with grades or grade points must be accompanied by numerical equivalence from the examining bodies for eligibility consideration.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of two components:

Written Test:
The written test comprises 200 marks, segregated into General English (60 marks), General Knowledge and Current Affairs (40 marks), General Mathematics (40 marks), and Reasoning & Mental Ability (60 marks). The duration of the written test will be 2.5 hours. The exam format will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. Qualifying marks are 40% for UR, 30% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD.*
Computer Skill Test:
The computer skill test carries 50 marks and has a minimum qualifying mark of 20. The test will examine basic operations in Windows, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Access.Admit Card and Updates
