The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results of the Grade “C” Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2023 & 2024, which was held on 9th May 2024. This examination was conducted to fill vacancies in various prestigious services including the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service, Election Commission of India Stenographers Service, and Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service, among others.
Based on the cut-off marks set by the Commission for the Computer-Based Examination, a total of 441 candidates from the 2023 batch and 485 candidates from the 2024 batch have qualified for the Skill Test in Stenography. The qualifying cut-off marks varied by category: SC and ST candidates required a minimum of 20%, while UR candidates needed 30%. Candidates under PwBD categories had a cut-off of 20 marks.
The provisional list includes candidates who applied under OBC/EWS categories considered against UR vacancies. Additional candidates qualifying at UR cut-off marks were included under their respective categories, ensuring a fair representation across all groups.
The Commission has emphasized that the results are provisional and subject to candidates meeting all eligibility conditions specified in the examination notice. The schedule for the Skill Test will be published on the SSC website soon, and candidates are advised to regularly check for updates. Final Answer Keys and marks for both qualified and non-qualified candidates will also be uploaded shortly on the SSC’s website, following a careful examination of candidate representations regarding Answer Keys.
