## Star Air Takes Flight: 25-Aircraft Expansion to Boost Regional Connectivity in India

Star Air, the aviation division of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG), is taking to the skies with a bold plan to transform India’s regional air travel landscape. The airline has announced a significant fleet expansion, aiming to reach a remarkable 25-aircraft target within the next 36 months. This ambitious growth strategy will see Star Air bolster its fleet with two Embraer E175 aircraft in the current fiscal year (FY25), followed by an additional four aircraft in FY26.

This expansion underscores Star Air’s dedication to its vision of “Connecting Real India.” By expanding its reach and offering affordable fares, Star Air is actively working to improve air travel accessibility for underserved areas across the country. This aligns perfectly with the Indian Government’s UDAN initiative, which aims to make air travel accessible and affordable for all citizens.

Currently, Star Air operates a fleet of nine aircraft, including four Embraer E175s and five Embraer E145s. The arrival of the new E175s will not only boost Star Air’s capacity but also enhance its operational efficiency. This will allow the airline to not only strengthen its services on existing routes but also venture into new territories, particularly across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. These cities often lack adequate air travel options, making Star Air’s expansion a welcome development for residents and businesses alike.

The chosen aircraft, the Embraer E175, is known for its fuel efficiency and passenger-friendly design. Its spacious cabins and comfortable seating will ensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for passengers. This aligns perfectly with Star Air’s commitment to providing high-quality air travel services across India.

Since its launch in 2019, Star Air has made significant strides in connecting India. The airline has flown over 1.3 million passengers across 21 destinations, offering accessible, affordable, and reliable air travel options in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Punjab, Goa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

With its sights firmly set on a 25-aircraft fleet, Star Air is strategically positioned to meet the growing demand for regional air travel in India. This expansion will not only redefine regional connectivity but also stimulate economic growth and development in underserved areas. Star Air’s commitment to connecting India’s diverse regions is poised to make air travel a more accessible and affordable reality for millions of Indians.
