Ambar Franco, a seasoned industry veteran, has been appointed Vice President of Customer Experience. Franco, who previously held senior roles at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, will spearhead efforts to optimize the customer journey from booking and airport experience to post-travel loyalty. Her extensive experience in hospitality and service excellence will be invaluable in shaping a truly customer-centric approach.

Joining Franco is Luc Lachoix, who assumes the role of Vice President of Digital & Technology. Lachoix brings a wealth of expertise from his leadership positions at top travel technology companies such as Amadeus and Sabre. He will oversee IT architecture, operations, and security, ensuring the seamless integration of technology across the Star Alliance network.

Renato Ramos, a Star Alliance veteran with seven years of service, steps into the role of Vice President of Strategy. Ramos, who has a proven track record in loyalty and aviation roles at Avianca and LATAM Airlines, will drive the alliance’s strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. His deep understanding of the industry will be instrumental in navigating future challenges and opportunities.

Rounding out the new leadership team is Gayatheri Silvakumer, who takes on the position of Vice President of People and Culture. Silvakumer, with her extensive experience in human resources at prominent companies like McCann Worldgroup, Bombardier, and Rolls-Royce, will lead the human capital and organizational development efforts at Star Alliance. Her focus on talent development and employee engagement will ensure a thriving and supportive work environment.
