Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take oath for a record third term on Sunday evening, joined by a galaxy of eminent personalities. The guest list for the oath-taking ceremony includes top actors Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Rajinikanth. Business tycoons from the Adani and Ambani families are also expected to attend.
Visuals shared online showed Khan and Kumar embracing each other as they arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the ceremony. Newly elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut and actor-politician Suresh Gopi, the lone BJP MP from Kerala, will also be present.
Commenting on his decision to attend the event, Rajinikanth said on Sunday morning, ‘I am going to take part in the swearing-in ceremony. It is a historic event. I congratulate PM Modi Ji for becoming the prime minister for the consecutive third time.’
The oath-taking ceremony will mark the beginning of Modi’s third term as Prime Minister of India. He first came to power in 2014 and was re-elected in 2019.
