Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is pleased with the team’s offseason additions following a busy period of free agency signings and trades.
“We’ve been very active in free agency, and that makes you really comfortable as we lean in on draft weekend. You know we’ve addressed a lot of needs and you don’t feel overly thirsty in any particular area,” Tomlin said, as quoted on the Steelers’ official website.
Among the notable additions to the Steelers’ roster are quarterback Russell Wilson, linebacker Patrick Queen, running back Cordarrelle Patterson, wide receiver Van Jefferson, and safety DeShon Elliott. The team also acquired quarterback Justin Fields and cornerback Donte Jackson through trades.
Tomlin expressed particular enthusiasm for the wide receiver position, highlighting the talent and potential of players like George Pickens and Puka Nacua.
The Steelers are aiming to improve upon their 10-7 record and playoff appearance from the 2023 season. Tomlin has guided the team to a winning record in every season since becoming head coach in 2007. The franchise last reached the Super Bowl in 2010.
