Yankees manager Aaron Boone was ejected in the first inning of Monday’s game against the Athletics when umpire Hunter Wendelstedt heard an inflammatory comment from a fan and thought that it came from Boone.

Boone called the ejection “embarrassing” and said he would be reaching out to Major League Baseball.
