Former Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis was rushed to the hospital yesterday after doctors feared she had contracted pneumonia. Fortunately, Stephanie was later diagnosed with a severe chest infection and was sent home with antibiotics and medication.
The 31-year-old actress and singer revealed that she had been struggling with a persistent cough for three weeks before seeking medical help. After being sent to the hospital, doctors initially suspected pneumonia but later ruled it out.
Stephanie took to social media to express gratitude for her mother’s support throughout the ordeal. She shared that her mother had stayed with her in the hospital for most of the day and had provided emotional support.
Stephanie also shared details of her medical treatment. She revealed that she has been prescribed steroids, additional antibiotics, and medication to break up the congestion in her chest. She is hopeful that the medication will help alleviate her cough and allow her to recover quickly.
Stephanie has recently left Coronation Street to pursue a career in music. She joined the popular ITV soap in May of last year after a brief stint playing Courtney Vance in Hollyoaks. Prior to that, she was known for her role as Sinead O’Connor in Hollyoaks.
Stephanie is in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Joe McKalroy and is often seen wearing a ring on her wedding finger. However, she has clarified that the ring is a promise ring and that Joe has not yet proposed.
Stephanie and Joe began dating in November 2021, and he has become an important part of her and her son Caben’s lives. Caben is Stephanie’s son from her previous relationship with Jeremy McConnell, whom she met during her time on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, where she finished as runner-up.
