In a police pursuit that occurred on Tuesday night in Boyle Heights, four juveniles were hospitalized after the stolen vehicle they were in crashed. The incident began when Deputies with the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station spotted the stolen car and attempted to pull the suspects over. However, they refused to yield, leading to a chase that ended when the teens lost control on the off-ramp at Calzona Street and crashed into a wall. The impact severely damaged their sedan, crushing the front end and trapping three of the occupants inside.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene and extricated the juveniles from the wreckage. Subsequently, all four suspects were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have yet to confirm their exact ages, but they are believed to be male and between 12-14 years old. The nature and severity of their injuries remain unclear at this time.
Footage captured by Sky5 revealed a substantial police presence surrounding the crash site, with a group of bystanders gathering nearby. As the crews worked diligently to clear away the wreckage and debris, the investigation into the incident continues. This story is developing and will be updated as more information becomes available.
