After receiving reports of a stolen wedding dress from a porch on Adams Street in Redwood City on April 11th, the Redwood City Police Department (RCPD) launched an investigation. The theft, reported on April 15th, involved an unidentified man taking packages from the porch, including the dress.

Through diligent investigation, police identified the suspected thief as 65-year-old Henry Fonseca of Redwood City. Fonseca was subsequently booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges of grand theft.

The RCPD’s efforts to track down the suspect were aided by tips from concerned citizens who recognized the man’s image after it was shared publicly. The dress, valued at $2,000, was successfully recovered and returned to the overjoyed bride.
