Stray Kids kicked off their ‘dominATE’ world tour on August 24th (local time) at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. The tour, which will see them perform in seven countries across Asia, including Singapore, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia, promises to be an unforgettable experience. The group’s opening performance in Seoul showcased their signature synchronized dance routines and striking stage outfits, with each member highlighting their unique fashion sense.
Hyunjin, in particular, is captivating audiences with his custom-designed Versace looks, crafted specifically for his solo stages during the tour. Donatella Versace, the creative director of the iconic Italian fashion house, personally designed four special outfits for Hyunjin.
The first of these looks, unveiled at the Seoul concert, features a Versace logo tank top, a crystal net balaclava, cargo pants, and custom ‘Mercury’ sneakers. This edgy, bold ensemble perfectly encapsulates Versace’s signature aesthetic and further elevates Hyunjin’s charisma on stage.
“Donatella is a very caring person and a true icon,” Hyunjin shared about his partnership with Versace. “When I wear Versace, I feel more energetic and confident, and I can perform with more power. The outfits Donatella designed are very luxurious.”
Beyond the initial look, Versace has created a variety of additional pieces for Hyunjin, including a varnished T-shirt, a single-sleeve knit shawl, along with multiple cargo pants and crystal net balaclavas. These pieces were meticulously fitted during a visit to the Palazzo Versace in Milan this summer.
“It was an honor to have Hyunjin in Milan,” Donatella Versace told Vogue. “It’s a truly special and important place for me, my team, and the entire Versace family. It didn’t take long for his fans to learn that he was here. It was fun interacting with them (who were waiting outside the Palazzo) with Hyunjin.”
Donatella highlighted Hyunjin’s confidence and his connection with his fans as key inspirations for the designs. “It was really fun designing his stage outfits,” Versace said. “Hyunjin knows what looks good on him and what suits his performer persona. He says wearing Versace gives him confidence and a special energy, which is fantastic. He is a very kind and caring person, and when he’s on stage, he shines like a true star.”
Hyunjin’s custom Versace looks are sure to be a highlight of the ‘dominATE’ tour, adding another layer of excitement and sophistication to the group’s already impressive performances.
